If you're like us, the day doesn't begin until you've had your coffee. If we're feeling picky, we prefer an Americano with a little milk. The only thing that really matters about our morning drink, though, is that it's caffeinated.
Regardless of how you get your caffeine, it's important to keep in mind that you're consuming a stimulant which has some positive and negative effects.
And the amount of caffeine that's in various drinks — or even the same drink from a different chain — can vary pretty drastically. Here's how much caffeine is in everything from a plain old drip coffee at McDonald's to a latte at Starbucks:
