If you rely on a cup of coffee to get you going in the morning, or to help you push through that mid-afternoon slump, you probably can't imagine life without your daily dose of caffeine.
But plenty of people never drink coffee, whether it's because they feel they're too sensitive to the effects of caffeine or simply prefer a different morning beverage to start their day.
These are the famous people — from our current president to two of the three Kardashian sisters — that claim to never (or rarely) drink coffee … and some of them will surely surprise you.
Jennifer Lopez avoids caffeine for her skin's health.
Lopez is a style and beauty icon, so it's no secret why people always want to know her top secrets. And it turns out her strict diet and fitness routine excludes a morning Starbucks run.
"'I don't drink or smoke or have caffeine," Lopez reportedly told Us Weekly in 2016, adding, "That really wrecks your skin as you get older."
Kim Kardashian West enjoys coffee only when she's jet-lagged.
Few people are on the go as much as Kardashian West, but she doesn't immediately turn to her morning java for an energy boost. In 2015, she told Harper's Bazaar magazine, "I'm not really a coffee drinker. I like it, and I'll have some when I'm really jet-lagged, maybe once a month."
As for what she does drink in the morning, she said, "I try to drink water. I think after you have a baby you want everything to be as pure as possible."
She's also more of an iced tea fan, revealing, "I used to drink a ton of iced tea, but I've cut back. I had the craziest addiction to Equal — I'd put 10 Equals in every iced tea. My sister Kourtney would always say, ‘You can't have that much sweetener!'"
Kourtney also skips coffee in lieu of tea.
Kim isn't the only Kardashian that doesn't start her day with coffee — older sister Kourtney doesn't, either. In a post on her official app in 2017, the mom of three shared, "First off, I'm allergic to coffee — it makes me insane! I get really hyper and really on edge when I drink it, so I stopped drinking it when I was 21 or 22."
Instead, she prefers green tea, sharing that she'll enjoy a "hot green tea late in the late morning or early noon," and she loves "a cup with honey and a little splash of almond milk," adding, "that's my thing at a restaurant."
